It was us who created the single-serve drinks, or shots, category more than five years ago, developed the first recipes, and began selling them in the best stores and gas stations in Latvia. We are one step ahead with our innovations, understanding customer preferences, and creating trends.

Founder's story
Over 10 years ago, we started working in the development of soft drinks and functional products - not knowing at the time that this path would lead to the creation of our own brand. Over the years, we have developed and helped launch more than 50 brands across Europe, working with private label clients who wanted a quality, science-based product.
The idea for xdose was born in this process. We saw that the market lacked a product that combined three things — truly natural ingredients, scientific basis, and everyday convenience. That's how we started a collaboration with Riga Stradins University and the Latvian University of Agriculture, so that each xdose shot would be the result of evidence, not a trend.
Today, xdose is the product that I use every day — and we created it for people who, like us, don't compromise between speed and quality.

Where is xdose developed and produced?
xdose is developed and produced in Latvia, combining years of hands-on beverage development and manufacturing experience with modern food technology. Our product development is also supported by a long-standing collaboration with Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), bringing scientific expertise and research perspective into our approach to functional nutrition. This combination of practical know-how, science and carefully selected ingredients is at the core of how xdose products are created.
How does xdose develop a new functional shot?
Every xdose starts with a real consumer need — not with a flavour. We first identify the function we want the product to address, such as supporting energy when feeling tired, everyday immunity, digestive wellbeing or antioxidant intake. Only then do we build the formula: selecting functional ingredients and high-quality raw materials that fit that purpose, determining how they can work together in a meaningful formulation, and creating a flavour profile around them. The recipe is then refined through product development, processing and stability testing to ensure that function, ingredient quality, safety and taste work together in one 60 ml shot.
How do you choose ingredients for xdose?
We look at more than ingredient popularity. Identity, supplier documentation, sensory impact, technical compatibility, recommended use level, stability and regulatory status all matter before an ingredient becomes part of a commercial formula.
Does xdose use science when developing products?
Yes. We use scientific literature and technical ingredient information to inform development, while keeping a clear distinction between research interest and claims that can legally be made about a food product.
How does xdose approach quality and food safety?
Quality and food safety are built into every stage of xdose production — from carefully selected and traceable raw materials to controlled processing, hygiene standards and finished-product verification. A key part of our quality system is access to a highly advanced private food laboratory in the Baltics, enabling us to perform extensive in-house quality control and microbiological testing throughout product development and production. We combine laboratory control with defined production parameters, microbiological verification and shelf-life assessment to ensure that every xdose is safe, consistent and produced to the same high standard — batch after batch.
